As a Registered Nurse Wound Care Certified, you will influence patient care by collaborating with staff, participating in hospital councils, and driving initiatives that improve patient outcomes. Job Summary The Wound & Ostomy Nurse will employ the nursing process to develop and maintain a comprehensive wound care program tailored to patient needs. Responsibilities include providing guidance, education, and support to all staff, setting priorities, and making independent, complex decisions. The role requires direct interaction with patients, physicians, staff, administration, and support departments while maintaining patient confidentiality. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Registered Nurse license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing (or compact license; must obtain Texas RN license within 90 days). BLS certification required as per policy. Wound Care and Ostomy Care certification within 2 years of hire. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in wound care or acute‑care setting.
