Mainframe Developer - COBOL/CICS

Position: Mainframe Developer COBOL/CICS

Location: Torrance, CA Hybrid, 4 days onsite

Employment Type: 06 months contract

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and IBM MQ to support enterprise mainframe applications. The role includes application development, production support, troubleshooting, batch optimization, and performance improvement.

Must-Haves:

Strong hands-on COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and IBM MQ
Mainframe application development and production support experience
Strong troubleshooting/debugging of batch and online systems
Experience with batch abends and production issue resolution
Experience with impact analysis, technical design, and documentation
Understanding of unit testing practices

Nice-to-Haves:

Automotive Finance industry experience
FIS Systematics exposure
Experience optimizing daily/monthly batch processing
On-call production support experience
