Nocturnist Advanced Practice ProviderThe Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery is seeking a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide night-time specialty care for the Transplant Surgery service. The APP will provide care for patients of the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW) Transplant Service Line located in Milwaukee, WI as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Advanced Practice Provider will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality, improvement, and teaching while delivering high-quality overnight coverage.Collaborate with interdisciplinary Health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Program patients as a member of the Transplant Surgery teamManage the transplant population including evaluation and preoperative care, as well as follow up postoperative care and coordination of on-going careDevelop expertise in cross continuum care management and treatment interventions specific to this patient populationEducate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative careFacilitate and communicate patient, family and other care organizations to promote continuity across the continuum of careEvaluate quality outcomes for the patients under the care of transplant surgery care teams through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomesCollaborate with other consultative care teams and the primary team in the management of Kidney and Liver diseaseSign-on bonus available for qualified candidatesCompetitive compensation for night shiftsReimbursement for CME and Professional ExpensesSupportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team environmentOpportunities for professional growth, research, and teaching.Preferred Experience: Previous experience working within Transplant Surgery is preferredMinimum Requirements:Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.Wisconsin RN LicenseWisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber LicenseAmerican Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)DEA registrationNurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organizationAcute care nurse practitioner preferred.
