Power BI Governance Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Solutions Consultant to join our Microsoft 365 Governance team. As a key player in our IT department, you will mobilize your technical knowledge of Power Platform and your ability to communicate to promote the development and adoption of new solutions within the company. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with solid experience of Power Platform and Power BI, capable of proposing and implementing governance measures to reduce risks, limit shadow IT, ensure platform performance and quality while animating our user community. The missions of our M365 Governance team are: Propose or make company-wide decisions with senior management to improve user engagement, Define policies and standards to reduce risk, protect data and manage resource lifecycles, Develop a communication plan to drive the adoption of features and services, including communities of practice with business champions across the enterprise, Lead the M365 Center Of Excellence, an extended team of IT specialists who evaluate and coordinate the deployment of new features. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster the adoption of the M365 platform, with a focus on Power Platform and Power BI solutions. Promote the adoption of best practices by animating the community of advanced users and working closely with our IT DevOps team to ensure compliance with standards, while considering evolving needs. Manage our Power BI Platform: Power BI Service, Premium Capacities, Data Gateways. Own the change management process for Power BI: review, test and approve upcoming changes to the platform. Communicate changes to the user community. Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate preview features. Define Lifecycle Management process for PowerBI content. Define and enforce content sharing policies. Partner with our Information Security team to define and enforce DLP policies. Improve our operational efficiency and leverage automation by defining and automating processes to provision data source, approve content sharing, assign licenses, etc.. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the Microsoft 365 Governance team. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (an advanced degree is like an extra bonus level). 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure. Solid understanding of Power BI Premium features and capabilities, including Power BI Administration, data modeling, capacity management, and AI-driven insights. Proven experience in report design and build, coupled with a mastery of development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to architect and design complex solutions that'll leave everyone in awe. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you know how to make tech talk sound like music. Be innovative, data-driven, and customer-focused. Preferred Skills & Experience Bonus points for knowing your way around Power Apps and Power Automate.
