Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Labor and Delivery Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring, BLS, DCI/BVP Must-Have: 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. The Registered Nurse provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. The Registered Nurse utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
