Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Oncology to provide exceptional patient care on a 13-week assignment. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing services in a fast-paced med-surg/oncology unit, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and other treatments, following physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions closely, identifying and escalating any clinical concerns.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR and adhere to documentation standards.
• Assist with post-surgical care, neutropenia precautions, and other specialized procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and safety protocols consistently.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Bring at least 2 years of hospital experience in a med-surg or oncology setting.
• Possess BLS certification; ACLS and Oncology or Med Surg certification are preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR and chemo administration.
• Exhibit strong patient care skills, including post-op, chemo, and neutropenia management.
• Maintain professionalism in documentation, communication, and teamwork.
