NOW HIRING: PAVING SUPERINTENDENT – HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

FULL TIME

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Paving Superintendent to lead and oversee asphalt paving operations across a variety of heavy civil and site development projects. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating crews and equipment, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in asphalt paving, particularly in roadway and parking lot construction, and has a proven ability to lead teams and drive project performance.

• Direct and supervise daily paving operations, including crew activities, equipment usage, and production targets
• Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets
• Review plans, specifications, and site conditions to plan and execute paving work effectively
• Manage crew assignments, subcontractors, trucking, and material deliveries to maintain workflow efficiency
• Monitor paving quality, including grade, compaction, and surface finish, to meet project and DOT specifications
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
• Identify and resolve field issues, including scheduling conflicts, equipment challenges, and site constraints
• Maintain daily reports, including production tracking, labor hours, and material usage
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met

• 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction, with supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of paving operations, including asphalt placement, grading, and compaction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with DOT standards and paving best practices is highly desirable
