Phlebotomist- Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Deerfield Beach

Phlebotomist Location: Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Deerfield Beach, FL. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and similar purposes. Enter patient information accurately and promptly in the system. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three (3) months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Medical Surveillance (Post‑Offer) TB testing, proof of immunity or vaccination for HepatitisB, Varicella, and MMR, and color‑blindness testing (if required).
