Job Description for Part-Time Installer

POSITION SUMMARY:

At Hello Garage, our mission is to transform garages and create remarkable customer experiences. The Part-Time Installer supports our Production Installation Team in performing work and installation safely at Hello Garage Standards, on time, and on budget. This role helps our full-time crew move faster and take on more jobs across the Memphis area. Additionally, we expect employees to show enterprise commitment and be willing to do duties outside of their normal job responsibilities.

SCHEDULE & REQUIREMENTS:

•        Part-time position: 2-3 scheduled days per week, Monday through Friday

•        Guaranteed hours on each scheduled work day

•        Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license

•        Job sites are located throughout the greater Memphis area, including Germantown, Collierville, Cordova, and Southaven — daily travel between job sites is required

•        Schedule and job locations may vary week to week based on the production schedule

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This position requires a diverse skill set. Primary responsibilities include:

•        Make Customers Happy

◦        Execute and interact with homeowners by trained upon Customer Message and follow the Production Core Process

◦        Keep customer's home clean and proactively take measures to leave it in better condition than found

◦        Ensure customer is happy with the finished job before leaving

•        Get Work Done

◦        Assist with reviewing job specifications to determine materials, tools, and equipment needs for the job

◦        Help load and unload the truck with necessary materials, tools, and equipment

◦        Assist with installation following all core processes

◦        Help complete installation at or below the defined labor percentage

◦        Distribute yard signs and door hangers to neighboring households

◦        Help maintain a clean truck

◦        Assist with unloading and cleaning the truck each week

•        Safety

◦        Ensure all aspects of work are being performed safely and consistently

◦        Call out any safety concerns as soon as they are identified

◦        Utilize all designated PPE equipment

◦        Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to manager or other appropriate staff person

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS FOR LIFTING, CARRYING, PUSHING, PULLING

•        Must be able to read materials, communicate with others, and use a computer/tablet 75-100% of the time.

•        Ability to move around, inspect things at lower levels, and drive 50-75% of the time.

•        The job consists of 15% sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, 30% light work with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, 20% medium work with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and 10% heavy work with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
