Senior Consultant, Lease & Lending Platforms

About the role

\n

We're looking for a hands-on consultant who is equally comfortable writing a data-mapping spec and running a design session with a finance operations team. You'll guide lenders and lessors through the rollout of their leasing and lending platform, from first discovery through go-live.

\n

You'll own the technical side of client engagements, shape how the solution fits together, and serve as a trusted adviser on how equipment, vehicle and consumer finance businesses can get the most from their technology.

\n

What you'll do

\n

Build and deliver the technical solution

\n

\n
• Configure the lending and leasing platform to fit each client's products, pricing and operating model.
\n
• Design and build connections to surrounding systems — general ledger, CRM, credit bureaus, dealer and broker portals — using REST/SOAP services and file-based interfaces.
\n
• Create extensions, custom data structures and reporting where standard features fall short.
\n
• Plan and run data conversion from legacy portfolios: mapping, reconciliation, mock loads and final switchover.
\n
• Diagnose defects and performance issues, and make sure test and production environments are ready on schedule.
\n

Advise clients and translate their needs

\n

\n
• Facilitate discovery sessions with business users and turn what you hear into clear functional and technical specifications.
\n
• Agree project scope, platform configuration approach and how components fit together.
\n
• Walk clients through core processes — origination and booking, servicing over the contract term, collections, end-of-term and finance postings — and confirm they work as intended.
\n
• Serve as the go-between for operations, finance and IT, keeping everyone aligned on decisions.
\n
• Share industry practice and explain what the platform can and can't do out of the box.
\n
• Partner with delivery leads on planning, risk tracking and project governance.
\n

Shape the right answer

• Weigh standard configuration against bespoke development and recommend the more sustainable path.
\n
• Spot gaps early, lay out options and explain the cost, timeline and risk of each.
\n
• Take part in design review boards and keep the overall solution consistent.
\n
• Coach and develop less experienced team members.
\n

\n

What you bring

\n

\n
• Several years implementing or supporting lease, loan or equipment finance software in a technical capacity.
\n
• Strong SQL skills, plus experience with data modelling, ETL tooling and building system interfaces.
\n
• Working knowledge of how finance and leasing businesses operate, including:
\n
• Asset tracking, depreciation and residual value setting
\n
• Lease and loan accounting principles (e.g., revenue recognition, IFRS 16 / ASC 842 awareness)
\n
• Vehicle leasing, fleet and equipment finance products
\n
• Instalment credit, hire purchase and amortising loan structures
\n
• Contract changes during the term: rewrites, early payoffs, transfers and terminations
\n
• The full journey from pricing and proposal through credit approval to activation
\n
• A track record of integrating systems via APIs, XML messaging and web services.
\n
• A solid grasp of back-office finance workflows and how they connect to the systems behind them.
\n
• Clear writing, confident presenting and a calm, credible presence with senior client stakeholders.
\n

Nice to have

\n

\n
• Experience running a workstream or leading a small delivery team on client projects.
\n
• Time spent as a solution or technical architect, or sitting on a design review board.
\n
• Exposure to cloud-hosted platforms, access and security models, or service-based architectures.
\n
• Comfort working in Agile teams and within structured enterprise delivery methods.
\n

Working arrangements

\n

You must have the ability to travel internationally. 2 weeks in the U.S. and two weeks in Canada or Mexico each month, depending on client needs.
