Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
• Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent professional judgment
• Apply emergency nursing skills including response to stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
• Maintain compliance with hospital fire and life safety protocols and department-specific standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Holiday time-off requests will not be approved during the contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior acute care facility experience
