Medical Support Assistant (OA)

Job Title

Perform the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping and miscellaneous clerical duties within the Medical Treatment Facility.

Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests.

Coordinate and/or schedule patient services with other MTF departments or specialties.

Receive patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, in person or telephonically.

Maintain and monitor patient appointment or admission schedules for the assigned area.

Ensure eligibility for care, and contacts Patient Administration for verification.

Resolve complaints of a local administrative nature and refers other complaints to the appropriate authorities.
