Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Neuro/Spine case experience required Experience with appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, Whipple procedure, and thyroidectomy (partial/total) Experience with spine cases required Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work day shifts of four 10-hour days. The role requires an ability to scrub and circulate in the general OR. The unit will accept first-time travelers with a minimum of two years of experience. All candidates are required to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity. The position involves a variety of surgical procedures including neuro and spine cases. Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred. The daily census average is 60 cases with 23 operating rooms available. Candidates will be expected to work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. This role involves caring for adolescents, adults, and pediatrics in a dynamic surgical environment. All submissions will be reviewed by the clinical team for compliance. Candidates must complete all necessary requirements upon hire.
