Exercise Physiologist Casual

Scope of Work Provide all phases I–III cardiac rehabilitation. Develop, implement and evaluate exercise prescriptions and sessions for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and other chronic illnesses. Create educational materials and provide education to cardio/pulmonary patients and others referred to the cardiac rehab program. Plan and participate in special patient events, research endeavors, professional conferences, student internship program, and specialized service lines such as the Cardiovascular Performance Clinic, cardiac rehab referral intake, and cardiac rehabilitation marketing. Provide all aspects of care management to PhaseII patients promptly and effectively. Supervise cardiovascular stress tests for individuals with and without chronic disease to obtain reliable and valid data. Provide other services such as Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) and Holter/event monitor placement. Standard Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field. Master’s degree preferred. ECG interpretation experience required. Minimum 2 years of experience or successful completion of a 600‑hour clinical internship in the cardiac rehab setting (depending on job location). Current BLS Certification required. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred (may be required at specific sites). ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within one year of employment. Employment Type: Part time. Shift: Day (United States of America). Weekly Scheduled Hours: 0.03 hours of work. Work Time: 8:00am–4:30pm. Days Worked: Tuesday & Thursday. Weekend Frequency: N/A.
