As experts in healthcare IT experts, Apex is committed to building systems for healthcare organizations to seamlessly communicate and exchange data across different systems and devices.The Calibration Technician performs calibrations, repairs, and quality checks on Army medical and logistical equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with DoD standards. This role supports equipment reliability, mentors junior staff, and contributes to quality assurance efforts in a technical, hands-on environment.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Perform calibrations, verifications, and certifications of a wide range of Army medical and logistical TMDE in accordance with established procedures, accuracy requirements, and military/industry standardsApply calibration methods and measurement science to analyze error sources, test accuracy ratios, and uncertainty of results to ensure equipment reliabilityTroubleshoot and repair malfunctions in complex measurement and diagnostic equipment using schematics, block diagrams, technical manuals, and software diagnosticsRepair equipment as required. Equipment requiring repairs shall be returned with all necessary calibration and Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) actions completedTrain and mentor junior technicians and apprentices in calibration principles, technical problem-solving, and DoD quality assurance proceduresSupport the Quality Control program by identifying nonconformities, analyzing data trends, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actionsInterpret technical data, engineering drawings, and schematics to determine calibration requirements and ensure compliance with Army maintenance standardsInspect TMDE for preventive maintenance, cleanliness, and safety, and document results through authenticated calibration certificates and correction chartsComplete all assignments in strict adherence to DoD regulations, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of calibration principles, measurement science, and DoD calibration policiesProficiency in the use, handling, and care of calibration and measurement standardsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and calibration management softwareAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational, time management, and communication skillsMinimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in electronics engineering technology, calibration technology, or a related technical field Programs are typically offered at community colleges or technical schools and may include coursework in circuitry, metrology, and engineeringMinimum 2 – 5 years of related calibration or metrology experience (may substitute equivalent military training or experience for degree requirements)Experience with computer-controlled diagnostic and analytical systemsTravel Requirement estimated to 15%Preferred Qualifications:Additional technical certifications in calibration or electronicsHands-on experience with TMDE calibration in a military or biomedical environment preferredExperience with calibration softwarePrior experience supporting Department of Defense or medical logistics contractsPrevious customer service or technical support experiencePay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00 per hourAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
