Systems Administrator

Job Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, workstations, and related software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor system performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to improve overall system performance.
• Manage and monitor backups, perform system restores, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
• Create and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
• Manage and monitor the company's IT security, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support end-users with software, hardware, and network issues.
• Perform regular system updates and patch management.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, with expertise in administering Linux and Windows platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS Platform.
• Understanding of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.


Preferred qualifications:
• Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk or AWS X-Ray.
• Experience with database administration, such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
