Foreman Electrician

Responsibilities Supervise and lead electricians and apprentices on residential and commercial job sites. Plan daily work activities and assign tasks based on project schedules and crew skill levels. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and building plans. Ensure all electrical work complies with the latest electrical code, local regulations, and company quality standards. Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule. Perform layout, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems when needed. Order, receive, and manage materials, tools, and equipment to minimize delays and waste. Enforce OSHA and company safety policies. Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and journeyman electricians. Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and code compliance before inspections. Maintain accurate daily job logs, time records, progress reports, and change orders. Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize downtime. Schedule inspections and ensure all required permits and documentation are completed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site. Represent the company professionally with customers, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors. Qualifications Current Journeyman Electrician license 5+ years of electrical installation experience with previous leadership or foreman experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
