Physician - SMG Hematology & Oncology Specialists - Woodbridge

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join a collaborative practice in the Woodbridge area of Northern Virginia. Based at the Potomac Building of the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center campus, this opportunity offers the chance to practice high-quality, patient-centered oncology in a supportive and collegial environment.

Our team is deeply committed to delivering comprehensive cancer care that is innovative, compassionate, and tailored to each patient’s needs, while continuing to advance oncology services throughout the region. The practice includes a dedicated group of 2 physicians who provide personalized, evidence-based care in a modern setting designed to support both patients and providers.

Physicians enjoy access to the latest treatment protocols ensuring patients receive advanced care while allowing providers to remain engaged at the forefront of oncology.

Position Highlights:

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., supporting excellent work-life balance, including one dedicated administrative day per week
• Primarily outpatient, ambulatory clinic with minimal inpatient consults (<10%)
• Shared call schedule with a collegial and supportive physician group
• Open to both new graduates and experienced physicians

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $403,748.80 - $446,243.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
