Project Manager, EngineeringLocation: Meriden, CT Duration: 12 Months+ Pay: $65/hr. on W2Work Schedule: Monday – Friday DaysRole SummaryEnvironmental Conditions:Office environment with extended periods in seated positionManufacturing environment including some areas with elevated noise levelsManufacturing environment including controlled and uncontrolled cleanroom areasPPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) as required by areaAdherence to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards required.Role ImpactThis role is part of the capital engineering team to manage facilities projects that support *** FSD (Filtration and Separation Division) manufacturing sites.It will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance in the execution of manufacturing facilities projects including feasibility, specification, design, and build.This role will have direct responsibility for facilities projects to improve utilization, productivity, capacity, cost reduction, and efficiency of existing facilities. It will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of workmanship and professionalism.Role RequirementsEducation:Technical/Engineering Bachelor's degree with 5 years (or Master's degree with 3 years) of demonstrated applicable experience.Experience:Managing facilities projects to product, budget, and timeline commitmentsManaging technical efforts of design firms, contractors, and other vendorsUsing critical metrics for measuring and improving personal work performanceManaging personal individual effort across multiple concurrent projectsManaging facilities workstream as part of a large projectManaging vendor selection using multiple proposals and quotes (use of decision matrix preferred)Managing vendor design, build, and install efforts to ensure overall project successManaging projects to applicable international standards (e.g. ISO, CE, FDA, etc.) desiredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProficient in MS OfficeProficient in technical writing including authoring RFPs, RFQs, protocols, reports, and other technical documentsMedical Device/Biopharmaceutical manufacturing standards (i.e. GMP, FDA, ISO)Self-motivated with good problem solving, communication, and coordination skillsSelf-starter with demonstrated history of continuous improvement and drive for results
