Job Description\n Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Manhattan, Kansas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 17 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n RN – Med Surg / Post-Surgical Inpatient | Nights\n Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med SurgDepartment: Post-Surgical / InpatientShift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AMHours: 36 hours/weekWeekends: RotatingHolidays: RotatingLocation: KansasJob Responsibilities\n \n Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures.\n Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and post-operative recovery.\n Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.\n Monitor patients for post-operative complications and changes in condition.\n Perform assessments and communicate significant findings to the appropriate provider.\n Assist with pain management and post-operative care.\n Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans.\n Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patient care technicians, and other healthcare professionals.\n Provide patient and family education regarding recovery and discharge instructions.\n Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.\n Requirements\n \n AHA BLS – Required at submission\n AHA ACLS – Required at submission\n Kansas RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license – Required at submission\n Previous Post-Surgical/Inpatient or corresponding Med Surg experience must be listed on the work history at submission.\n Candidate's true interview availability must be included at the time of submission.\n Overnight Staffing\n \n No physician is in-house during evenings, nights, or weekends.\n Depending on patient census, the RN will work alongside another RN/LPN and/or Patient Care Tech.\n A physician is available on call for emergencies.\n \n \n Med Ninjas Job ID #16270.
