Construction Inspector Position Type: Full-Time Location: Albany, Georgia Work Remotely: No We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to regulatory standards, specifications, and quality requirements. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in monitoring construction activities, conducting inspections, reviewing submittals and pay requests, and providing feedback to ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities: Conduct on-site inspections to assess construction progress and compliance with Construction Documents, building codes, and regulations. Review construction plans, specifications, and documents to verify accuracy and completeness. Identify and report any deviations from approved plans or specifications and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns promptly. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of construction activities and findings. Review submittals, pay requests, requests for information (RFI's), change orders, closeout documents, and other documentation during the construction phase. Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and guidance as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred or extensive experience in the commercial construction field. Previous experience in construction inspection or related field. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office software. A positive attitude, be a team-player, take initiative, and be detail-oriented.
