Duke Primary Care (DPC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to serve in a combined role as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) and as a member of the Virtual Care Team’s Virtual Weight Management Clinic (VWMC). PCPs are clinicians responsible for addressing patients' personal health care needs in the ambulatory setting. DPC PCPs develop long-term, patient-centered relationships aiming for outstanding health outcomes and exceptional patient experiences. APPs will have training in family medicine or internal medicine & pediatrics (IM-Peds) and are expected to work in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment. PCPs operate at one of DPC’s primary care locations around the Triangle region of central North Carolina. Members of DPC’s Virtual Care Team (VCT) manage patient needs through video visits, primarily focusing on Obesity Management. Providers should have a strong understanding of Obesity Pathophysiology and comprehensive treatment approaches, with a current certification in Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). APPs will provide comprehensive obesity care—including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment through behavioral/lifestyle therapy and pharmacotherapy—for adult patients. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Registered Dieticians, Health Coaches, and Behavioral Therapists to optimize care. The virtual role mainly focuses on Weight Management, with flexibility to provide care for acute illnesses via video visits when weight management appointments are not fully booked. #J-18808-Ljbffr
