Unlock Communication Potential in the Charms of Texas – Your Journey Begins as a Speech Language Therapist
Imagine if your career could highlight purpose and transform lives — in the most literal sense. As a Speech Language Therapist in a dynamic metropolis in Texas, your role surpasses the realm of treating speech and swallowing disorders; it is about igniting possibilities, rekindling assurance, and weaving connections that matter. From children articulating their first sentences to elderly individuals reclaiming their voices, your impact will reverberate through all ages.
This position offers an exceptional chance to engage with a diverse clientele across their lifespan, within a setting that merges both outpatient and occasional inpatient therapy. Whether your passion lies in aiding toddlers with speech development, helping adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or assisting seniors in cognitive recovery, you will discover not only professional satisfaction but also a flexible work environment.
Description
- Conduct assessments on individuals of all ages—pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations—utilizing standardized tests and observational methods to gauge their needs.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that address immediate needs while considering long-term communication and swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals like occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and families, ensuring holistic care approaches.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families to aid in progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's therapeutic journey.
- Maintain documentation that aligns with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay on the cutting edge of speech pathology advancements.
Education
- Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be attained within 30 days after hire.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices suitable for all ages, coupled with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Flexibility in therapy methods to adapt to various cultural and linguistic contexts.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving acumen.
- Competence in using electronic medical records and maintaining documentation standards.
Benefits
- Attractive compensation in line with experience.
- Flexible work schedules that promote a healthy work-life balance.
- Options to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and recognized holidays.
- Comprehensive health insurance options: medical, dental, vision, and life.
- Financial support for continuing education and a focus on professional growth.
- A collaborative atmosphere that prioritizes quality patient care and continuous learning.

In this position, you will not only be delivering speech therapy — you will become an integral part of a community dedicated to amplifying voices, fostering connections, and generating joy through the art of communication.
You'll join hands with colleagues who treat each other with respect and camaraderie, within a culture that values collaboration over rivalry. Each patient's journey has a narrative, and we invite you to help sculpt the next chapter.

Who Is the Ideal Candidate?
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist driven by both compassion and results. Someone who perceives a shy child and imagines their limitless self-expression, who interprets the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and recognizes their ardent desire to communicate and connect.
You could be someone specializing in pediatrics, looking to branch into adult therapy or a clinician focused on neuro rehabilitation eager to integrate pediatric experiences into your practice.
Regardless of your specialty, if you're prepared to serve with passion and lead with professionalism, we can't wait to welcome you aboard.
Join Us on This Transformative Journey
