Information Technology Programmer

Schedule 40 hours/week - flexible start/end time. On-call shifts required 7-8 times per year. Must-Haves B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or equivalent Programming or web development experience (in either a professional or school setting) Plusses Familiarity with manufacturing systems (WMS, MES, etc.) Day-to-Day Analyze customer needs for automated information Write code to meet customer needs Provide direction to outside programmers / software suppliers Communicate effectively with internal and external customer Participate in evaluation of new business related software Manage upgrades to existing software programs Participate in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software) as the need arises Complete documentation of activities as requires Submit cost reduction and innovation ideas Job Description Insight Global is seeking an IT Programmer to join a leading automotive manufacturing organization in Nashville, Illinois. This individual will develop, modify, and maintain software applications that support manufacturing operations and business systems including MES, WMS, and inventory management platforms. This role partners with internal departments to analyze business needs, write and test code, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement system enhancements. The programmer will manage software projects from planning through deployment while providing ongoing technical support for both office and plant environments. This collaborative, on-site position offers exposure to a variety of technologies and opportunities to make a direct impact on operational efficiency. The team is committed to finding a long-term addition and is open to mentoring and developing junior-level developers who demonstrate strong technical aptitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Compensation $70,000 to $75,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
