Travel MRI Technologist Magnet Teaching Hospital Role

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with 3+ years recent hospital experience, 2+ years GE equipment experience, and Level III trauma center experience.

Requirements

• ARRT-MR certification required (ARMRIT certification alone not accepted)
• ARRT-R certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years recent hospital experience (per diem experience not counted)
• Minimum 2 years experience with GE equipment
• Level III trauma center experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• CT license required if applicable

Responsibilities

• 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• MRI department performing abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Patient population includes adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and pediatric patients
• Assists with breast patient imaging and positioning
• Performs special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion studies, MIP, MRP, and peripheral MRA
• Uses GE MRI equipment
• Charting in Epic
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM
• Potential for call coverage
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with willingness to extend assignment if needed
• Candidates must be gone a minimum of 2 years to return as a traveler if previously employed on staff
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• One reference required for consideration
