Paramedic Opportunity At FBI QuanticoSpectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Paramedic to provide services for the FBI Quantico, located 36 miles outside Washington D.C.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Emergency Medical ResponsePerform advanced airway management.Provide cardiac assessment and interventions.Conduct trauma resuscitation and stabilization.Administer medications and apply advanced pharmacology knowledge.Make rapid clinical decisions under pressure.Stabilize critically ill or injured patients prior to hospital transport.Conduct rapid triage and manage: Traumatic injuriesEnvironmental emergenciesHigh-acuity medical eventsSupport High-Risk Training and Operational EventsProvide on-site emergency medical coverage during:Firearms range activitiesDefensive tactics trainingArrest and control technique exercisesPhysical fitness testingLarge-scale events and graduation ceremoniesSpecialized training evolutionsMedical Training and EducationDeliver training to clinic staff and personnel in:CPR/AEDFirst AidBleeding controlTourniquet applicationHeat injury preventionHydration protocolsRapid medical and trauma assessment in field environmentsPatient carries and litter evacuation techniquesEquipment Readiness and MaintenanceMaintain mission-ready medical equipment, including:Trauma bagsAutomated External Defibrillators (AEDs)Oxygen delivery systemsAirway management equipmentEmergency response kits for callouts and special eventsZoll Propaq cardiac monitoring systemsRequired QualificationsLicenses and CertificationsCandidates must possess:Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certificationCurrent Virginia State Paramedic LicenseAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a ParamedicPreferred QualificationsPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificationWork EnvironmentThis position requires responding to physically demanding and high-risk training accidents and emergency situations.
