Greensville Health and Rehab in Emporia, VA has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team!

Position Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is passionate about providing quality, resident-centered care and helping residents improve their mobility, physical function, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy services to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions

• Assist residents with improving strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and functional independence

• Monitor and document resident progress, responses, and outcomes

• Establish and work toward realistic, measurable treatment goals as directed by the Physical Therapist

• Educate residents, families, and staff on appropriate therapeutic strategies and safe mobility techniques

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, comprehensive care

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Follow all applicable regulatory, safety, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Current State PTA License (or eligible)

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• CPR certification preferred

• Prior experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care

• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team
