Pay Rate: $80-$100/hr Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Office Location: Lake County – Lake Forest, IL (AP30) Duration: 7 Months – Extensions Possible based on performance and business needs Role: Program Manager – Meetings & Events (M&E) Center of Excellence Department: Business Solutions Group (BSG) We’re seeking a seasoned Program Manager to support a global transformation initiative aimed at streamlining and optimizing Meetings & Events (M&E) management across international markets. This position plays a key role in Project Genesis , a high-impact initiative to establish a centralized M&E Center of Excellence (CoE). This is a high-visibility, hybrid role with a global scope—perfect for someone with expertise in program management, stakeholder coordination, and change management within large matrixed organizations. Key Responsibilities: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the M&E CoE project across OUS affiliates Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams, affiliates, and global stakeholders Coordinate with Procurement, BSG, and other key teams to ensure project alignment and resource readiness Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies Manage project budget, timelines, and key milestones Provide regular updates and executive-level reporting Drive change management strategies to enable process adoption and operational transition Support the rollout of tailored training initiatives for global teams and suppliers Maintain alignment with AbbVie’s compliance, brand, and quality standards Top Skills Needed: Project/Program Management (5–7+ years, pharma/healthcare preferred) Organizational Change Management Stakeholder Engagement across global/regional levels Strong Communication & Leadership Skills Experience in meetings & events planning (preferred) Ideal Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field Proven experience managing high-complexity, global initiatives Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet (experience with event management platforms is a plus) Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving project environment Clear track record of cross-functional collaboration, risk management, and implementation success
