Pharmacy Benefits Technician

Our client is seeking a detailoriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problemsolving and working in a collaborative, fastpaced healthcare environment.

Locations : Plymouth, MI | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)
Pay Rate : $22.50/hour
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require

What You'll Do:

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and followup communications
• Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication
• Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services to support accurate billing
• Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews
• Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active State Pharmacy Technician license (Michigan )
• National certification (PTCB or NHA)
• 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM, or managed care)
• Strong communication, documentation, and problemsolving skills
• Claims adjudication and secondary billing
• Medicaid and discount card processing
• PBM or managed care environment
