Teradata background in particular preferred but not required.• Strong Experience in performance tuning-required. With Teradata specifically-preferred.• Strong expertise in reengineering system applications and processes-preferred.• Experience with Teradata utilities like BTEQ,FASTLOAD,MLOAD, TPUMP, FASTEXPORT and Query manager-Strongly preferred.• Strong expertise in understanding data modeling involving logical and physical data model-preferred.• Experience in designing processes involving Star/Snowflake schema and creating source to target data mapping based on the project needs-preferred.• Experience in implementing data Warehouse applications re: ETL. Ability to design, build, deploy and support end to end ETL processes-preferred.• Exposure and ideally hands on experience with as many of the following as possible (strongly preferred):• Teradata SQL Assistant• Business Objects• Cognos• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. Self-motivated, quick learner and team player-Required.• Active listening skills and assertiveness in negotiating the requirements based on project needs.
