Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Kentucky

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an upcoming locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported cardiac surgery program with dedicated cardiac anesthesia, first assist support, and access to a hybrid operating room.

Assignment Highlights

• Ongoing locum opportunity
• 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a)
• 4-7 shifts available per month
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• EPIC EMR
• Dedicated cardiac surgery support staff
• Hybrid OR and cardiac operating room available

Clinical Requirements

• Adult Cardiac Surgery
• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Valve Repair and Replacement Procedures
• ICU Management of High-Risk Cardiac Patients
• Impella Support Experience
• Structural Heart Procedure Coverage
• Thoracic surgery experience is a plus but not required

Qualifications

• Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
• Active BLS Certification
• Clean Background History
• Kentucky License Preferred (providers willing to obtain licensure encouraged to apply)

• December 24-28, 2026
• December 28, 2026 through January 4, 2027

• Approximate credentialing timeframe: 90 days
