Riverhead Carwash [Formerly North Fork Carwash] is seeking an energetic, friendly, and reliable Car Wash Greeter to be the welcoming face of our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, guide guests through our car wash menu, and help them choose the best package for their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Reception: Greet every customer immediately with a warm smile and a friendly welcome as they approach the wash lanes.
• Sales & Upselling: Explain the features and benefits of our different wash packages and unlimited wash clubs to maximize sales.
• Point of Sale (POS) Operation: Efficiently process cash, credit, and mobile transactions using our digital touchscreen POS system.
• Vehicle Safety Inspection: Conduct a quick visual check of each vehicle (ensuring trailer hitches are clear, mirrors are folded, and beds are empty) before directing them to the wash tunnel.
• Lot Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and safe environment by keeping the driveway, vacuum stations, and trash bins tidy during downtime.
• Team Collaboration: Maintain clear communication with the tunnel guides and management to ensure a smooth, efficient flow of vehicles.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Customer Focus: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Sales Aptitude: Comfortable introducing promotional offers and service upgrades to customers.
• Weather Resilience: Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, and limited rain).
• Basic Math Skills: Comfort handling cash and calculating change accurately.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays (our busiest days).
• Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required; previous retail or hospitality experience is a plus.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods (8–10 hours a day) and lift up to 25–50 pounds from a squatting position.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot missed spots, streaks, or vehicle blemishes to maintain strict quality standards.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication to greet guests with a positive attitude and collaborate with team members.
