Daughter for Hire is different from a Home Health Care Agency. We do not provide personal or medical care. Our focus is strictly companion care and we provide non-medical in-home respite services that assist the elderly, give their families peace of mind, and make it possible for seniors to age in place and enjoy their golden years. Whether it's laundry, meal preparation, light housekeeping, or assistance with medical appointments, our bonded and insured caregivers are there to help.

Daughter for Hire is recruiting part-time care companions in the Mohawk Valley and the Capital Region to help seniors in their homes. We are seeking individuals who have a desire to help others, can engage in conversations, can work well on a team, are punctual, and have excellent communication skills. Candidates should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. Weekday and Weekend hours available - 6 hours minimum commitment per week.

Medical background or certification is NOT required! Our core criteria for hiring care companions is honesty, integrity, patience, caring nature, compassion, and a pleasing personality. Sometimes, a client visit can simply be spent sitting and chatting.

All care companions are required to have their own reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, past employment references, and pass a nationwide background check.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Companionship
• Light Housekeeping
• Laundry
• Meal Preparation
• Assistance with errands
• Assistance with transportation to appointments
