Client Accounting Services (CAS) Supervisor

Our client is a respected public accounting firm in the Northbrook area. Their Client Accounting Services (CAS) team provides outsourced accounting and advisory support to small and mid-sized businesses across a variety of industries, delivering bookkeeping, financial reporting, controller-level services, and operational guidance.

As the practice continues to grow, they are seeking a CAS Supervisor to help manage client engagements and support the team's expansion.

The CAS Supervisor will oversee client accounting engagements, manage key client relationships, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on, client-facing role offering exposure to diverse businesses and opportunities to provide process improvement and advisory support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients and manage ongoing relationships
• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, cash management, and month-end close
• Manage client accounting systems, primarily QuickBooks Online and Desktop
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality client service and deliverables

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or CAS experience in a client-facing environment
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred
