Vice President, Strategy

A little bit about our team:

The Global Strategy team is a cross-functional group working across Recorded Music and Music Publishing, sitting at the intersection of creative and corporate operations. The team serves as a trusted partner to senior leadership at WMG, focusing on high-impact strategic projects, data analysis, and execution.

We partner closely with senior leadership, label teams, and the central finance organization to shape the long-term direction of the business. This role will directly support the EVP, Global Head of Strategy, helping build the organization's strategic capabilities and ensuring commercial decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis and a deep understanding of the music industry landscape.

Your role:

Serve as a key member of the Global Strategy team, partnering with the EVP, Global Head of Strategy and senior leaders across Warner Music Group to drive the successful execution of company-wide strategic priorities and transformations.

Lead high-impact enterprise strategic initiatives that enhance business performance, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This role involves collaborating with diverse departments globally and in multiple countries to build strategic direction. It ensures initiatives are accomplished and integrated across the organization. The position translates vision into actionable plans supported by clear decision frameworks, data-driven insights, and important metrics.


Success in this role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, robust program management skills, and outstanding communication. The ideal candidate will build trusted relationships, influence senior collaborators, secure agreement from business operators, and translate complex business challenges into practical, actionable solutions.

Have Strategic Impact

• Partner with executive management to assist in the development and execution of Warner Music Group's global strategic priorities.
• Lead strategic analysis to evaluate business opportunities, organisational efficiency, organizational frameworks, and long-term growth initiatives.
• Convert complex business challenges into clear, data-driven recommendations and arguments that support executive decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional strategic programmes from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and measurable business outcomes.
• Establish effective programme governance, delivery plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and success measures.
• Design and evaluate target operating models, including organisational structures, functional design, role scoping and span-and-layer analysis, to support sustainable growth and organisational effectiveness.
• Build alignment across global functions and international markets, influencing collaborators and securing agreement to ensure the effective implementation of pivotal initiatives.
• Act as a trusted strategic partner, providing insight, challenge and recommendations to the highest levels of management.

Drive Operational Excellence

• Drive an effective operating cadence across strategic initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance, accountability, and timely decision-making.
• Support the development, tracking and reporting of strategic objectives, OKRs, KPIs and programme performance measures.
• Partner with Business Intelligence, Finance and other functional teams to ensure reporting provides meaningful, actionable insights that support business decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure central initiatives are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Find opportunities to improve business processes, governance, operating models and overall organisational efficiency, enabling greater scalability across the organisation.
• Promote consistency, collaboration and continuous improvement across project development and programme execution.

About you:

• Have at least 8 years of relevant experience within a leading management consulting firm and/or a corporate strategy, strategic transformation, or business operations function.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic programs within large, global, matrixed organizations.
• Outstanding analytical and structured problem-solving skills, demonstrated through the ability to simplify complexity and translate insights into practical business recommendations.
• Outstanding program management capabilities, with experience delivering multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience preparing executive-level presentations and communicating complex concepts to senior audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation and partner management skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leaders, establish reliable connections and build consensus across diverse business groups.

We'd love it if you also had:

• Experience in music, media, entertainment, or another content-driven indsutry.
• Familiarity with the music industry's commercial models and competitive landscape.
• Familarity with building AI tooling and automation

We value in-office collaboration, which is essential for talent development and strong working relationships. #LI-OnsiteSalary Range: $230,000 to $245,000 AnnuallySalary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
