Medical Laboratory Scientist - PRN

Role: Conducts and prepares laboratory specimens, performs diagnostic tests, and analyzes results to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities: Independently executes routine and specialized tests, maintains quality control, calibrates equipment, and ensures regulatory compliance. Participates in performance improvement and manages inventory. Ensures patient privacy and adapts communication to diverse patient populations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; valid licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent; ASCP certification preferred. No prior work experience necessary. Skills: Proficient in computer use and data entry, effective communication, analytical thinking, good judgment, and interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements: Physical ability to perform heavy work, including lifting and prolonged standing; flexibility to work in various environments; adherence to safety and regulatory standards; potential exposure to biohazards and hazardous materials.
