Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience or comfort working in a self-contained, multi-categorical classroom preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Dedication to creating engaging, differentiated instruction for diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in grades 3–5 with a range of learning needs
• Manage a classroom of up to 11 students, adapting lessons and materials as needed
• Develop and document IEPs, tracking student progress against established goals
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to optimize every child’s success
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
• Create a safe, encouraging environment that emphasizes social-emotional growth alongside academic achievement
