Benny’s Backyard is a small, family-owned dog daycare and boarding facility in Wilton, CT . Unlike large-volume daycare facilities, we keep our groups smaller so we can get to know every dog, their personality, and what makes them comfortable.

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic, and caring Dog Daycare Attendant / Handler to join our growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll spend your shifts helping us make sure every pup has a happy, safe, and comfortable day , including:

• Supervising dogs during indoor and outdoor group play
• Monitoring dog behavior and maintaining safe playgroups
• Giving dogs plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment
• Feeding and providing fresh water as needed
• Taking dogs outside for potty and play breaks
• Cleaning and sanitizing play areas, suites, bowls, toys, and common areas
• Helping with daycare drop-offs and pickups
• Assisting with boarding dogs and their daily routines
• Communicating with the team about each dog’s behavior and needs
• And yes… picking up plenty of poop!

❤️ Who We’re Looking For

Experience working with dogs is a big plus, but personality, reliability, and attitude are extremely important to us.

You should be:

• A genuine dog lover who is comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Dependable and punctual — our dogs and teammates count on you
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment
• Able to stay calm and confident around groups of dogs
• Comfortable cleaning — caring for dogs isn’t always glamorous!
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Willing to learn about dog behavior, body language, and safe handling
• Comfortable working independently when needed

Previous experience at a dog daycare, boarding facility, veterinary office, animal shelter, grooming salon, or other animal-care environment is preferred but not necessarily required for the right person.

Location: Wilton, Connecticut

Position: Dog Daycare Attendant / Dog Handler

Schedule: Part-time to start, with the opportunity for additional hours as we grow. Afternoon availability is especially important.

Weekend and holiday availability is required as needed , as Benny’s Backyard provides daycare and boarding care 365 days a year. Scheduling will vary based on reservations and business needs.
