Transmission System Operations Manager

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for a Transmission System Operations Manager Job Title: Transmission System Operations Manager Location: Hughesville, MD 20637 Type: Full Time/Employee Responsibilities Ensure compliance with NERC standards and fulfillment of the Transmission Owner responsibilities in the PJM RTO. Authorize all field switching activities. Organize all personnel development. Develop and maintain divisional procedures. Manage the operation and utilization of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA), the Energy Management System (EMS) and the Integrated Tools for Operations application (iTOA). Qualifications Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in math, statistics, basic electricity, and specialized training in electric utility operation and maintenance. Computer courses preferred. Must be NERC and PJM Certified. Seven or more years of progressive experience in operation, construction, and maintenance of electric utility systems with emphasis in a Control Center environment. Supervisory, administrative, and SCADA experience required. The starting salary range for this position is $103,100 - $138,800.
