BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Care Physical Therapist Pool/PRN, who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, located at 4501 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. in Wesley Chapel, is BayCare's newest facilities in Pasco County. The new hospital is more convenient for existing patients while also giving residents more options when choosing a provider. BayCare currently serves that community with behavioral health, home health services, physician offices, other ambulatory services and easy access to its other 15 hospitals across the region.
Acute Care Physical Therapist (Pool/PRN) Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and post-discharge recommendations.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Required: PT (Physical Therapy) License
- OR PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to Obtain
- OR PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary, with licensure within 6 months
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Preferred: 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
Location: Wesley Chapel Hospital
Status: Pool, Exempt: No
Shift Hours: 8:30-5:00/Days
Weekend Work: Every Other
On Call: No
