Veterinary Assistant
VCA Valley Animal Hospital in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full-time or part time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
Location: 5146 Hildebrand Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012
Schedule: Full-time; or part Time schedule will vary
Compensation: $16 - $17 / hour based on skill set and experience.
About Us
We are a fast-paced practice offering Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our hours are Monday 7:30 am – 7:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Saturday 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, Closed Sundays.

About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:
- Compassionate patient care
- Client education and care
- Obtaining patient history from clients
- Filling prescriptions
- Preparing suite and surgery and dentistry patients
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Maintaining medical records
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
