Laser Operator - 1st Shift

Job Description Job Title: Laser Operator Location: Paynesville, MN Compensation: $22.00-$25.00 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00am-4:30pm | Monday-Thursday Job Type: Temp-to-hire About the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Laser Operators for a leading metal fabricator located in Paynesville, MN. What You'll Do as a Laser Operator: Operate laser cutting and punching machines Load, edit, and run machine programs Load raw materials into sheet bays Maintain cut quality while keeping efficient feed rates Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Complete routine laser maintenance, including startup/shutdown, cleaning windows and centering nozzles, emptying dust bins and replacing cutting beds Keep the work area clean and organized Ensure all products meet quality standards Handle steel raw materials and scrap Remove ("pick") laser-cut parts and stack them on pallets or in containers Package parts using banding or shrink wrap Safely operate forklifts to move materials and finished parts Use basic hand and power tools as needed What You Need to Bring to the Laser Operator Role: Forklift operating experience Crane operator certification preferred Understanding of manufacturing and inventory processes Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools Strong math skills Good verbal and written communication CAD experience preferred Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is a plus Why You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing Solutions Enjoy weekly pay , access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
