GA Non Teaching : ART- VisCom Assistant

Job Title Graduate Assistant (Non-Teaching): ART - Visual Communication Department: Art Visual Communication - East Texas A&M University Location: Dallas, Texas Job Responsibilities Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and emails. Respond to routine inquiries and provide information regarding departmental services and programs. Maintain a welcoming and professional reception area. Provide administrative assistance to the Dean, department leadership, faculty, and staff. Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room reservations. Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, meeting minutes, and other office documents. Manage and maintain departmental records, files, and databases. Assist with data entry and recordkeeping activities. Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Manage and monitor office supplies and inventory. Assist with document preparation, copying, scanning, and filing. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be a student currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at East Texas A&M University. Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, and scheduling tools). Preferred Qualifications Prior customer service experience. Prior administrative experience. Hours and Salary Maximum of 20 hours per week. Salary: $4,000.00 per semester for full-time assistantship.
