Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities Follow all Cemex, OSHA, and MSHA safety policies and wear proper PPE at all times Perform ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI testing at cement and Ready Mix plants Verify product compliance with quality specifications and notify management of any quality deviations Assist with product mix design and understand the impact of changes on kiln processes Maintain detailed records of tests and inspections Prepare reports related to quality and equipment issues Perform lab housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance Train new team members and complete audits, inspections, and reports as required Respond to callouts, participate in plant outages, and support other duties as assigned Requirements Associate’s degree in applied science or at least 2 years of cement plant experience ASTM certification (or ability to obtain within the first year) 2 to 4 years of experience in a quality-related role in the cement or heavy manufacturing industry Strong numerical and testing skills Computer proficiency (including Excel and lab software) Attention to detail Understanding of ASTM standards Ability to operate mobile equipment Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI testing methodologies, ensuring product compliance and quality in cement and Ready Mix plants.
