Software Engineer

Job Title

Responsible for developing innovative software solutions that empower our customers. Responsible for guiding the testing and configuration management processes, as well as the management of source code and change processes. Collaborate with various partners to forge top-tier software products that align with our overarching strategic goals. Responsible for the support and maintenance of various systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. Develops software solutions through comprehensive requirements analysis and collaboration with stakeholders and IT Management. Delve into systems flow, data usage and work processes, employing software development fundamentals to design, debug, test, and deploy effective software solutions. Ensure that business processes, procedures and systems are thoroughly reviewed, analyzed and evaluated, leading to recommendations for improvements and changes, whether it involves leveraging out-of-the-box components or engaging in custom development.

Requires a Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent and 4+ yrs experience in software development, database technologies, version control systems, and DevOps tools, cloud computing platforms and microservices architecture or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Financial or Banking services experience a plus. Extensive knowledge of software development processes and procedures, modern programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. Extensive knowledge of application development using various technologies, languages, databases, integrations, frameworks, and systems, software development lifecycles, SQL and database systems, Java programming and application servers (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat Java), data modeling concepts and integrated application development methodology. Extensive working knowledge of software design, integration, and high-performance software development. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills. Strong analysis, judgment, and project management skills. Strong interpersonal communication, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical staff. Ability to analyze business requirements and map them to various programs, interpret, validate, and map business requirements to appropriate solutions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing technology and priorities. Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
