Pathology Locum Opportunity in Montana

We are seeking a Board Eligible Pathologist to provide dedicated summer coverage within an integrated Montana pathology team. Based at a facility in Billings, the incoming provider will support essential laboratory operations tied to their Missoula site. The facility heavily prefers a single doctor to bridge this entire summer assignment, but they are fully open to splitting the block between two consistent providers.


? Clinical Schedule & Workload Pacing

• Daytime Laboratory Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Weeknight Call Profile: Beeper call from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• Weekend Call Profile: Continuous 24-hour beeper call from 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM.
• Daily Case Volume: Up to 30 cases per day , consisting predominantly of routine diagnostic cases.
• Laboratory Infrastructure: Supported by highly trained Pathologist Assistants (PAs) to streamline grossing and specimen preparation.
• Overtime Policy: Any anticipated overtime must receive strict prior administrative approval.

• Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
• Licensure: Active Montana (MT) Medical License.
• Life Support: Active BLS certification.
