Production Maintenance MechanicDanbury, CT Job Address: Danbury, CT 06810, United States Work Location Type: Onsite 6+Month ContractIn this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production-line manufacturing equipment. Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment. Under supervision may redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment. May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.Primary ResponsibilitiesWorks on problems that are semi-routine in nature and analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipmentReads and understands technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot issues or make repairsPerforms work in one or more machine trades including electrical, mechanical, or machining.Performs routine equipment maintenance and repairAssist in installation of new equipmentInspection of manufacturing equipment operations on a routine basisInstalls new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelinesEnters and maintains data in an computerized systemAssists Facilities Maintenance Department with general building maintenance functionsResponsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelinesDuties and responsibilities are not limited to the work listed above and may include other assignments. Multiple shifts being hired.Required Skills & ExperienceHigh School/GED with a desired of 3-5 years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and trainingVocational or technical training desired3 to 5 years related maintenance experienceOrganizational skillsWorking Knowledge Microsoft Excel and WordAble to lift 50 poundsKnowledge of cGMP procedures preferredFamiliar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory guidelinesKnowledgeable in calibration and preventive maintenance proceduresSkilled and knowledgeable in using computer database programsComfortable wearing a Portable Respirator for long durations of timeAbility to adapt and work in a high paced environmentSHIFT: 3rd Shift, Monday – Friday (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)MUST HAVE - Production Maintenance/ Conveyor BeltLooking for People with Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance ExperienceDoes not have to come from a Pharma BackgroundMay "assist" with RelocationCompany has very old equipmentWants someone from a Manufacturing backgroundThey will be wearing a clean suite ( Jump suite and Respirator)Manager has no interest in Job HoppersThey must have production/manufacturing mechanic experience (Not Facilities – no building maintenance, no HVAC)Metasys Technologies/NVISH is an equal opportunity employer.
