Responsibilities Lead innovative design efforts and shape the future of transmission and distribution systems. Guide projects from concept through construction. Provide mentorship and foster technical excellence. Represent the team to esteemed clients. Support field inspections and client presentations. Research, compile data, and support project proposals. Collaborate effectively with teams and clients. What You Bring to the Table Strong experience in substation physical design, protection, and control (P&C) engineering. 8+ years of relevant work experience, with 5+ years considered if holding an EIT or PE license. Deep knowledge of IEEE, NESC, and industry standards applicable to substation design and construction. Proficiency in developing detailed design packages, including physical arrangements, relaying, control, grounding, lightning, and electrical system studies. Ability to prepare technical calculations, project specifications, cost estimates, and bill of materials. Experience supporting field inspections and client presentations. Skilled in research, data compilation, and supporting project proposals. Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients. Nice to Have Skills Experience with project management or team leadership in substation projects. Familiarity with advanced protective relaying systems and substation automation. Knowledge of utility and industry regulatory requirements beyond IEEE and NESC. Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred. Prior experience in EPC project environments focused on substations. Additional Requirements Onsite position; no remote or hybrid options available. Willingness to relocate is supported and considered.
