Certified School Nurse
Responsible for providing nursing assessments, care, and related services to students in a school setting. Works full-time in Highland Park, Illinois for a 39-week contract. Provides medication administration, emergency response, and collaborates with educators and parents to develop health plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing assessments, care, and related services to students in a school setting
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop and implement health plans for students with varying needs
- Administer medication and manage emergency situations as required
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to stay current on best practices in school health services
Qualifications:
- CSN certification or equivalent
- Certified School Nurse (CSN)
- Minimum 1 year of school nursing experience, supporting students with varying needs
- Full-time availability, no virtual work
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Experience working with students K-12 and ages 18-22
- Pass background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
