Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, maintain clinical hygiene standards, and manage essential administrative and clinical tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a patient-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including examinations, restorations, and surgeries. Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment notes. Prepare and organize dental materials, instruments, and trays for procedures. Provide post-operative care instructions to patients. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms. Assist with inventory management and ordering dental supplies. Required Skills & Qualifications Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from a recognized institution. Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role. Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques. Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems. Strong understanding of infection control and safety standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with digital radiography and imaging systems. Certification in radiology (if required by local regulations). Knowledge of dental insurance processes and billing. Experience assisting in specialized procedures (orthodontics, oral surgery, etc.).
